Lots of beautiful touches from the handmade satin flower to lace and gemstone brads. I love the purple with the black and white, especially the contrast between the tinted photos and the movie stills below. The gears are a very cool touch, too.
WOWOWOW! Sharon, these are such cool photos!! LOVE how you scrapped this movie...and the colors are FABULOUS!! Beautiful embellies...lovin all the bling and that doily is wonderful! This lo is screaming into my faves!! :) (too bad Audrey's hair is looking FLAT :)
Sharon, I am more and more convinced we are sister spirits. I actually hate horror flicks, but this one impacted me deeply. It scared me so badly when I first saw it, (at around age 16!) that it gave me a migraine, but I watched it whenever I got the chance! Your page certainly does it Justice! Intriguing!
One of my all time favorite movies and I was delighted to come across it on tv the other day. Love what you did here. Great layout and design. Love the colors.
Fabulous layout Sharon! Beautiful and spooky at the same time. Love the purple. Can't believe I've never heard of this movie. I love scary movies......now I've got to see it!!
The color scheme you used and the large picture with the silhouette of the man in the window is PERFECTLY spooky! I remember seeing this movie as a young teen and being scared to death...I felt so bad for Susy, and imagined how horrible it would be to try to breath silently while hiding!! LOL GREAT job on this page.
Great LO!
I was also 12 when this came out! Went to see it with my sister (who was 13). THE SCARIEST movie ever!! With no blood or guts! I've seen it at LEAST 10 times and each time I scream during the "dark" scene!
can dark and scary be BEAUTIFUL too??? cuz with the deep purple color, bling and ribbon flower you have created a BEAUTIFUL lo. love the journaling too. Great job on the darker side challenge!!!
For October's Darker Side Challenge. Celina challenged us to scrap about a villain or monster. My journaling reads: "The movie was Wait Until Dark. It was made in 1967. My sister and I were 12. We stood in line to get in, then decided that it was too scary and got out of line. We saw the movie 4 years later, when we were 16. I absolutely loved Audrey Hepburn, who played the blind woman, Susy, and Efrem Zimbalist Jr, who played her husband, Sam. But the villains, Richard Crena, Jack Westin, and especially Alan Arkin were my favorite characters. Alan Arkin played a very menacing Mr. Roat. He sent chills down my spine, made my heart race, made me scream, and I loved every second of it!
