Amazing photo! This is a fabulous travel 2-pager, Laurie! Love the journalling strips, tickets, and travel embellies! That alpha is fantastic! Thanks for sharing the story....so very sad about what happened to the rest of the family. Those were terrible times. Some of my hubby's family also died in WWII before immigrating, and he plans on making a similar trip to Poland, which is where they originated, in German communities. Luckily, I have all the photos from their life there, but have yet to scrap them.

Oh....how very sad. I have a friend whose grandma died at Auschwitz. And I've been helping her made some heritage pages. What a horrible time in history that was. But it was good for your mom to go back, and the page is a tribute to her family. (your family)
