You'll make a great impression when you give this debossed thank you card using the letterpress technique and Sizzix die-cuts. It's easy; just follow the instructions below to learn how.
Create a card base out of colored cardstock. Die-cut Elegant Flourishes out of matching paper and adhere to the card front to create a faux-embossed effect. To create the letterpress effect, die-cut the Phrase, Thanks out of a piece of clear acrylic. Lay die-cut Phrase on a piece of scratch paper right side down. Using an ink pad and a rubber brayer, completely coat the acrylic Phrase with ink. Put one cutting pad and a piece of thin scratch paper onto the Multipurpose Platform. Carefully transfer the acrylic Phrase onto the platform inked side up. Trim a piece of cardstock to fit the card front and place right side down onto the inked acrylic Phrase. Cover the card with the Silicone Mat and Impressions Pad and run through the Big Shot or BIGkick Machine. Carefully lift pads away from the card. Lift the card straight up from the acrylic piece. Trim and mat sentiment and adhere to the front of the card using foam dots. Embellish with ribbon, decorative trim and buttons.
