Give a Cheer
August 2005 was a rough time for me, I lost my Justin in a car accident and two weeks later my grandmother passed away from kidney failure. I had a yoga class in college and my instructor was talking about how the lotus flower grows in even the darkest muddiest swamps out there. I started to look at the lotus as my reminder that even in what felt like the darkest time of my life there would still be beauty.
This is for the June Monochrome challenge, week 2, use the color of your favorite flower with the twist of lessons from the garden. My favorite is the Desert Rose so I used yellow as the main color and added a bit of a blush color to emulate the pink tips of the rose.
