Such a lovely and thoughtful present for your friend...made from the heart. I'm sure she will love it! Thanks for sharing the story behind this lo. (My little secret...I LOVE trucks and would want to buy one for myself if I could lol!)
What a sweet photo and honor of the memory of your friends brother. Your friend is going to love receiving such a wonderful and heartfelt gift-you are a sweetheart!
oh my!!! you did an amazing job on this layout!!! bringing in the color from the pic to the layout.... awesome!!! The story was very heartwarming, she is going to love this!!!
this is such a beautiful LO and the meaning behind it will make it that much more special for her as a gift. I hope it brings a much needed smile to her face. People treasure things that are made as a tribute for a loved one and made with love on top of it. I am sure she will cherish it always. Personally I think it's perfect as is, and you should give it to her as is. But you can always let her know that if she has a special photo of her brother or the 2 of them together she would like to incorporate into the LO you would be more then happy to turn it into a larger page for her. But again I love it as it is!!! You have such an amazing heart and she will be deeply touched!
This LO I made for a friend of mine, Jody (who also happens to be my hair stylist). We've known each other ever since my husband and I moved into the area (about 15 years). Her brother passed away very tragically and suddenly this past June. Her and Bob were very close. There are other circumstances that have surrounded this sad situation and I hope that she will make her way through them ok.
Bob was color blind -- the only color he could see was Blue. Jody has always been a Chevy freak (I say that with a smile on my face) so we have had humorous discussions over the years (I'm a Ford fan). When she told me of the brand new purchase she was about to make, I couldn't help but rub it that it was a Ford she finally purchased. She is now a very proud owner of a 2011 F150 BLUE Ford extended cab truck. The feature that sold her on the truck was the drop down step on the tailgate (she is modeling that in the smaller picture). She is absolutely in love with it! And I couldn't be happier for her. She bought this truck as a memorial to her brother. I will be giving this to her at my next appt on Oct 6.
Most of the LO was made from my stash of things I've collected over the years. I had to include one of my lacettes that I made earlier this spring and placed one of my handmade pin within the lacette. It was a fun LO to make. This is an 8.5 x 11 LO. I still have a month to decide if I will place this on a more decorative 12x12 background. But I like it as is.
