My granddaughter Mac is deathly afraid of dogs over 5 pounds. We got a puppy and raised him. When he was under 5 pounds he was OK, but when he started to scratch and nip, she was afraid. She gets up on our 10 foot step ladder and drops food bits for him, but will NOT be in a room with him even when he's on a leash.....she trusts no one to be able to hold him, even though he ignores her and isn't the least bit interested in getting off his leash.
