About 15 years ago, "Itchy" showed up on our doorstep and wanted to belong to our family. Hubby said, no more cats....famous last words...we adopted him, or he adopted us and hubby was first to let him inside and feed him. They grandchildren promptly named him "Itchy" due to the fact he seemed to be itchy! We loved him and he was such a dear heart! I think he thought I was his mommy since he would follow me to bed every night and jump up and snuggle with me...If possible, he preferred to lay on me rather than beside of me.

Last week, we had to have him put to sleep due to many issues which couldn't be fixed. The Veterinary Hospital sent us a lovely card which I have scanned and also enclosed his foot print which I cut out in the shape of a heart. We definitely feel a void without him, but he is no longer suffering...RIP sweet boy!
