Photo of my hubby back in the 80s. I've been digging through some of my older photos and trying to scrap a little more of them. I used Echo Park Merry Christmas collection for this simple layout. Title work "Santa Claus" and the santa hat were cut with the Cameo. The tree, gifts, and hohoho tag are all stickers from the collection. The pull tag for the journaling was cut from one of the patterned papers. The green mat was cut and the the bottom edge torn. I added three banners cut from patterned paper, then tied some jute around the mat and added the tag and a bow. The holly leaves are a button from my stash ...as is the star on top of the tree. Tree and gifts are pop dotted. I added a bit of doodling to the edges of the red and white layers. Journaling is tucked behind the green mat and reads:

Sometime during the late 1980s, I made Butch a Santa suit so that he could “be” Santa Claus at several Christmas parties at one of the hospitals, and occasionally for the grandchildren. We even ordered him a long white beard and a white wig to complete the outfit. I guess the rubber wading boots didn’t really “go” with the outfit, but the kids never even noticed. Of course, we had to add quite a bit of stuffing around the middle to make this Santa cubby! Butch was always such a good sport about doing things like this…and I’m so glad that he’s MY Santa Claus!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
