Most people who visit out of town are in for a shock when they come to Hollywood and see how it "really" looks. I luv the director's clapper, named stars, and jolee sticker!!
LOVE the way you framed the photo...it's perfect!!!! What a lovely, sunny California page...also loving the way you put the elements together around the title in the lower right...just fabulous!!!
Totally cute & fun! I love how you made the "set, camera, action" as matting for the photo!!!! You traveled a long long way to get there Laura.... I've never been to Hollywood. Very creative!
That "chevron movie-thingymajig" (sorry, don't know what you call those things..lol) is a magic touch to this awesome layout...now who would have thought about that?? Such an awesome, creative layout Laura :)x
Such a wonderful and fun page!!!!! I love that family photo so much! I am very surprised that there was a house in disrepair so close to the Hollywood sign. Your layout is so great - I love it!!!!!
I see the same face that Quick Silver saw! :) I think it's very clever how you made one of those little movie snappy things (don't know what it's called, obviously!) out of the black and white stripes and the names in the stars. Also don't know how you got close enough to the Hollywood sign - I had to stand out in the middle of a busy street to get a picture that was only half as good. I'm sure you enjoyed that falling down house too! Great job with this!
Oh, Oh - I see a face that wants to be anonymous! I won't tell if you don't, LOL. Very pretty Elegant Edges die cut, creative framing and title work - cute little flowers. LOVE the stars with everyone's names. (A certain someone might not like that either, LOL.) FAVES

Aww this is very cute! I really like the title with the sun and the movie camera.. thats so cute!! The stars for the walk of fame was a nice touch too!
I created this fun, simple layout at my friend Katie's house ("KDQ"). We visited Hollywood, California, in March 2012, during a visit with my brother, who lives in L.A. We had to head up a remote, narrow, winding road to reach this point to take our photo so that the Hollywood sign could be seen. To our immdiate left in the photo is a house that is in a bad state of disrepair. Not quite what we thought we'd see in Hollywood....
Thank you to my parents and brother, who toured around with us, and thank you to Katie for the fabric flowers, Stickles, Liquid Pearls, gel pens, Distress inks, background reddish cardstock, and use of her Cricut for this layout. I used Katie's "Elegant Edges" cartridge for the sunburst Crucit die-cut. I used my "Picturesque" cartridge for the swirly vine.
