Loving the photo of Rosetta Stone. My students just finished reading a story about the Frenchman that deciphered the stone and made the connection to the Egyptian hieroglyphs. TFS this!!!
You are on a roll, my friend. The bg paper you chose is excellent for this. I'm definitely lifting the inked scalloped circles as an accent from you! So cool you saw the tablets up close!
Visited the British Museum, it's a beautiful modern museum, I enjoyed my trip there well once I found it that is had a bit of trouble reading a map. I'm not sure what number one is and haven't found it at the museum's website yet, apparently clay tablet is a bit vague. Two is the Flood Tablet telling a part of the Epic of Gilgamesh. Three is one of the main reasons I went, the Rosetta Stone, written in Egyptian hieroglyphs, Egyptian demotic, and Greek which is why we can read hieroglyphics today. I got a post card because the stone was surrounded in glass which makes photos very difficult.
