Journaling: Some people enjoy trashy-fun reality like The Real Housewives. Me? I've fallen in love with watching quite a few Korean variety shows. I used to think they were silly, and then I started watching really well-translated shows and now thoroughly appreciate the wit behind these shows. While much of it is scripted, a well-done variety brings out more genuine reactions the stupider the activities are. I'm not kidding. One of my all-time favorite Running Man episodes is their Summer Olympics special, where they had their guests playing volleyball on a court made of giant trampolines and jumping over hurdles in a swimming pool. Watching Kpop idols-who are normally all about "I'm so cool" or "I'm so cute"-completely lose their composure (and the production staff who pepper the show with snarky captions all throughout) is vastly entertaining to me. -03/2013
