It's Monday again, which means Nuts About Sketches is revealing the sketch for this week. Here's my DT interpretation and a special invitation to you to join us this week with your own project.

This is my foster dog Riley, who's been at my house for about six weeks now. Weekend before last he was adopted at an outreach event, but by mid week, his adoptive mom called the rescue and said, "he's really grieving for his foster mom and I can't stand seeing him so unhappy." She made arrangements for her husband to meet me and return the dog. He said, "this is like giving up one of my children - I like him, he's great with my kids, he's just a great dog, I don't know why she doesn't want to keep him..."

So Riley is back with me, helping in the kitchen with spills and leftovers, hogging the bed, and sitting in the armchair doing his best imitation of a 35 pound lap dog. I love this dog - and I'm committed to helping him find his forever home, but I'm beginning to think that home might be my own.
