WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous! A very magical and beautiful page, my friend. I love how you enhance the beauty of the photo in all of your work! You amazing me!!!!!!
You have captured the feel of the harbor so beautifully and romantically! I just love the little embedded seahorses and of course those blues and golds~
Beautiful! Love how you did the bg and the title work. I think the minimal embellies you included are perfect and don't distract from the beautiful photo and artwork!
Looking at this LO is like searching for underwater tresure - I keep finding pretty bits of things here and there. Great job on the mermaid, and I love the seahorses!
I love the gold highlights! Beautiful punchwork--I like the crisp edges using different punches creates. Love the seahorse embellies and the floral pins and that mermaid is adorable! LOVE IT!!!
Your LO's are always extremely creative - you must have the amazing collection of bling and metal trinkets - I think that this LO is perfect just the way it is - no need for more - it's gorgeous, as are all your creations - hard to imagine Northport Harbor frozen - just to think about it makes me shiver ~
A photo my mil took when the harbor froze over. I have another view of this in an earlier post. I used different punches around the edges. Im pretty sure Jrabs is the one who started doing that. My good friend Quick Silver gave me several things here. The two metal pieces at the top of the lo. The diamond shaped white bling at the edges. The metal foliage at the bottom left hand corner, and the little metal flower a couple inches to the right of that. There's something about sunsets that are so magical. I used texture paste in different areas with a doily, and a brass stencil, also some stars from a punch and cardboard. I stamped and embossed in gold, then outlined them in black. I used some clear embossing powder all around, and brushed some mica powder in purple blue. I had painted the texture paste in gold earlier. I drew the mermaid from a greeting card and used watercolors on it. Do you think it needs more bling? Of course its cloudy out now , and around noon, so even if the sun was out, its almost impossible to take a pic without my shadow in it. I kept thinking this needed something, and tried putting flowers on , and all kinds of stuff. Ide put more small things on , then take them off,and that lets me know im pretty much done. Theres a piece of abalone under the photo at the center, and also at the top at the left of the metal flower. Those are beads I got at a bead shop in Door County ,Wisconsin, about 10 yrs ago. Thanks for looking and comments are very , very welcome. I love to read them. Other products include mica flakes by Stampendous, water color blue and red mixed to darken ppr , I wanted to make it more blue. Keyhole plate at top, flourishes, and alphas are Tim Holtz. On each metal piece at the top I put pink Swarovski butterflies. I don't know why I keep using them, they don't show! If you look closely you can see the sun showing through the trees.
