Heritage pages are the one kind of page I never feel like I have enough supplies for. I feel like I'm always grasping at little odds and ends and trying to make them fit. This is one of my grandma back in 1945. The handwritten note was on the back of the original photo. I'm taking it he was off at war and she sent him this photo. Kind of strange that he wrote her a note back on it asking for permission to keep it. And even stranger that his signature was crossed off. Wish I knew the story behind all that. There's another photo taken at this time where she sent him a picture of my dad when he was just starting to walk and she wrote a nice little note on the back of that too. I love that I have something in her own handwriting to add to the page. I guess it shows how important journaling really is. I seem to love journaling....as long as it's someone elses. ;)
