Journaling is under the “duct tape” flap.
Destination Imagination is a place where kids take what they know and what they are good at and learn to apply it to solve challenges, working together and cooperatively with a team and pushing the limits of imagination to best not their competition, but themselves.
This was Hanna’s first year participating in DI,. Dad and Liz took on the job of coaching, or Managing, the official term. It was a group of kids all experiencing Destination Imagination for the first time. I suppose for a first year team they weren’t that bad. Like many other teams, they had a set and props made out of cardboard boxes. A week earlier I had gone to one of their rehearsals and I saw the improvement during their final performance. After being an “appraiser” for a number of years it was interesting seeing things from the perspective of audience member.
As part of their performance, Hanna’s team had an invention called a “Sun Sucker”, they had a dance routine, and a karate fight, not to mention a skit. Including set-up time, that’s a lot to cram into an eight minute performance!

Patterned papers are Real Life by Pebbles Inc. Making Memories hinges, eyelets, and brads.
