Loved Mel's layout. The doily was to mimic some of the dimension of the wood veneer card. I did use a journaling card instead of a pocket, but then I put my title on that and then use an envelope for my journaling and to take the place of the large arrow paper. I did mist in the background too and my three ornaments reminded me of the three star and heart embellishments plus they had the shape of the pinwheel. I spent most of the last 25 years in retail. Early in my career I actually worked in the stores or buying offices. Our hours during Christmas were insane. Six day weeks with twelve hour days. That could make you dislike Christmas, but I actually loved the season and still do. I just had to be prepared early. The journaling card will reside in the pocket.The title came from the card that says It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Or Not?. One of my favorite layouts in a long time. Also for LOAD day 4. Everything on the page is October Afternoon except the Studio Calico star kraft paper, doily and wood veneer, the Maya Road envelope, Heidi Swapp gold mist and the American Crafts gold Thickers letter stickers.
