I was out shopping with my sister yesterday and found this vintage retractable clothesline at an antique store. I bought it to hang in my scraproom in the archway to display cards. It is red metal which fit my scraproom to a T, but I think I would have bought it in any color. My sis remembers having one hanging in our old house when she was a child in the 40's & 50's. It works perfectly, now that I have taken it apart and untangled the cord! If I have no cards or don't want to display anything, I just unhook the cord from the opposite wall and wind it up. TFL
