One of the classes I got to teach this weekend was a Cosmo Cricket class called “Use your diecuts” with a layout entitled “Glimpse” designed by Jen Backler. It was tough to teach something I hadn't designed and so I did my own copy of the layout a little different to show the class that art is extremely personal and you can switch things around. Her photo is vertical, mine is horizontal; she used background PP strips, I like less busyness; She used her title as a separate embellishment, I used mine attached onto the photo as part of the layout that hinged up to reveal hidden journaling (I like to cluster and see white space). There were people in the class who followed mine, some who did exactly what Jen did, one who converted the whole class into a card project and everything in between.
