What am I going to do with you? You are so eager to be Mr. Independent, and sometimes I take it for granted or get too preoccupied with everything else around me to notice that sometimes you still need a little help. You are my never complain boy, always going with the flow. This day at Worlds of Fun shows that you will put up with almost anything, until you have had enough. We had spent almost the entire day walking all over the park from ride to ride. You never complained at all about all the time you spent trudging up and down the hills of the park, just kept up with a smile on your face. When we had spent our last quarter on carnival games, and stuffed ourselves silly with funnel cakes and cotton candy, we made our way to the exit. You were having a hard time keeping up, and soon you were lagging behind. I turned around to hurry you along and found you sitting in the middle of the path, with your arms folded, a pout on your face. You very matter of factly told me“”“I am done! I just can’t go any further mom!My feet hurt and I have had enough!””After a quick inspection, I realized that you had your shoes on the wrong feet. You had walked all day and not said a word to any of us. I have never felt so bad, but laughed so hard. I couldn’t help it, it was just so typical of you not to say a word, and just deal with it. But when you were done dealing with it, you were done, in a most dramatic fashion. From now on Drew, I will do a better job of paying attention to the little details, and remember that sometimes, you still need help, even with the small things. ….hope you like it:) Miley
