This is incredible! I love the old school days feel to it. The ribbons placed along the rulers is a really nice touch. Your layering is lovely. What an heirloom you've created!
oh, I love it...how absolutely adorable and the perfect way to preserve her drawing and medal. What precious memories. Love the paper and how you have used it, definately doesn't overwhelm at all.
oh this is just amazing...a perfect meld and blend of the 2 pages creating one stunning layout, priceless adorable foto and fabulous papers and details....fav and more.....xo
Gorgeous! Beautiful design! It is a bit different than your usual style but I love what you did with the G45 papers. I have a big stumbling block with those kinds of papers myself.
I love the way you've displayed you mother's photo, drawing and medal. I also love how you've used this collection on G45 paper - one of my favorites. The ruler border with the lace and rick-rack is a lovely embellishment. The two pages flow together wonderfully. This LO is
one of my FAVES.
What a fabulous use of the delightful pages and a wonderful story to relate on these pages. How amazing you still have the picture and the medal and the gorgeous photo of your sweet mother. Simply beautiful.
oh my goodness - this is such a FABULOUS way to display/preserve your Mother's medal and drawing. I love the way you've used this G45 collection - very inspiring.
Natalie - you did a FABULOUS job with the G45 papers! I feel exactly the same way you do about them. But you knocked this one clear out of the ball park! Beautiful beautiful beautiful!
Well you rocked the G45 and the two pager just like you rock everything else you do. This is wonderful. what a great design and what a wonderful way to preserve your mom's medal and the story behind it. Beautiful! Oh and that is a great photo...it looks modern.
A bit of a departure for me, as I don't often use G45 papers. Mainly because I find them very difficult to use for a layout. The papers are so beautiful in themselves, that sometimes I feel they overwhelm the photo. However, I needed something to display a medal that my Mom won when she was in grammar school, and I had these papers for the longest time. It was definitely time to use them!! So I gave it a whirl.
I needed to do a double pager for this, as I had to find a place for the medal, as well as the drawing she made (which won her the medal). I tucked the drawing into an envelope as it was very fragile. The envelope can be taken off the layout by pulling on the twine, so one can view the drawing.
Thank you to all who may look at my page, or leave a comment, please know it is greatly appreciated!
I was inspired by a layout that Maggi Harding did with the later release of these papers, and also inspired by the wonderful double page layouts of Ozzyvik. Thank you ladies!!!!
