Yes, love seeing the striations. I was going to call them "lines" before I read your description. It amazes me how gems and stones form over time and you can see the growth this way.
This littles specimen is smaller than 1 inch by 1 inch, its classified as a Thumbnail because it fits into a 1 inch cube box. Its from Rogerley Mine, Frosterley, Durham Co, England. I submit this photo today because I heard that this famous mine is closing production of specimens. The specimen is small and pretty non-special in terms of the LARGE plates of multi-colored specimens that have come from this mine. I do have another plate of smaller fluorite crystals and associated minerals that comes on a nice slab of host-rock. I thought this picture and specimen is interesting in that you cans see the striations on the crystal faces. Enjoy!
