Wednesday, January 8th 2014 – We were back in Costa Rica again but this time we were in Puerto Limon' on the opposite side of the island from where we were before. While exiting through the port building we couldn't resist having our picture taken in one of those stand-up things with the faces cut out. However, the female part was so tall I stood on my tip-toes and still wasn't tall enough and Bill had to scrunch down on his knees to get low enough for the male face cutout.

Outside the terminal we walked around the town. After 2 blocks we knew this was not where we wanted to be – old shops - some selling cheap touristy stuff. Then a lot of empty boarded-up storefronts, then more low-end souvenir shops. Poorly dressed local men were in front of the shops, many appeared to be on drugs or drunk. I did not feel safe - this was not a great part of town! I told Bill I wanted to do something else or go back to the ship.
