Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Frosting

Birthday this Monday. Mix yellow cake mix with the following: Mash 1# frozen berries (thawed) with a fork & set 1/2 cup aside for frosting. Add berries to cake mix with 4 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, and 1 reg. size box dry strawberry Jello. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour in 3 greased & floured 8" pans. Bake 350 for approximately 22 to 26 min. As cake begins to pull away from sides check with toothpick. Cool 5 min. & remove it from the pans. Cool completely. Beat 6 oz. cream cheese & 2 Tbsp. butter (both at room temp.) Gradually add 4 1/2 cups powder sugar & add berries a Tbsp. at a time till spreading consistency. You won't use all the berries. Frost between layers and over top & sides. IMPORTANT: Make the day before so the cake & flavors blend.
