I apologize if these pictures offend anyone. I really struggled with whether to scrap them or not, but this was a very memorable "event" in my life, one that still haunts me. If we only scrap the good things, our albums will show future generations a very skewed picture of who we are - just my two cents!

Journaling: It started as a little puffiness in my left eye. The walk-in clinic diagnosed it as an infection and gave me antibiotics. The emergency room did blood cultures, a CT scan, and gave me even more antibiotics and an ointment to put in my eye. Still the swelling continued to get worse, along with the redness and blistering.
After three days of not being able to even pry my left eye open to use the ointment, I finally convinced my doctor that it was not an infection; it was an allergic reaction. We have pretty much decided it was the 10 gallons of mangos I peeled, but are not positive. Still, I shudder every time I walk past the mangos in the store, and make sure I don't touch the tree at my mom's house. photo June 5, 2013
