We really enjoyed having our first garden. DD is just the right age for it. She has watched the seeds go into the ground, turn to seedlings, grow to plants, produce veggies, eaten the veggies, and now watched the plants die (thanks to a borer worm infestation). She has really loved the concept. She has even learned about roots drinking water and leaves eating the sunlight to make plants grow. She has also picked up worms and beetles and learned that there are lots of good bugs that help in gardens. In these pictures she is checking out our first little group of tomatoes...not even red yet!

I loved making this LO.
