Well, if I was going to do a page of my son, I thought I should finish the quote with a page of my daughter! LOL! I had the devil of a time trying to find a photo though! I wanted to keep it somewhat simple like her brother's page, but still fun. I found this photo of her at DS's birthday party at my parent's RV while they were here this summer. She's playing with the cluster of balloons we had gotten for my son, which included the star. I must have been on it that day because I managed to snap a pic with the star balloon showing up so I could crop out the rest of the balloons. And voila!
So... to make the background... luckily having a boy for the last 4 years has given me plenty of 'star' embellishments and tools. (I think that second mask is Heidi Swapp...) I got this Timmy three-pack of Distress Paints when I was out with my son getting supplies for another project for this weekend. Turned out pretty good and I used several masks and different mediums. Was going to leave it as it was, but then decided to add the wooden stars and sequins. For my Hoarders, National ____ Day (Train Your Brain) and Girls Only challenge. I think we all know I'm an eternal optimist and I believe this full quote embodies that. I interpreted "Train Your Brain" as training your mindset so that was my inspiration behind National Train Your Brain Day - Oct 13th!
