I think I need to drag out some of my old DD papers! I forgot how much I loved them! Love the lamp post and that you remembered to grab a menu...I never think of that!
Its so nice when you find a new favorite place to go! The lamppost was made for this lo, it goes so well! Love that you included the menu! Beautiful page and memories!
Love, LOVE this page, especially the story behind it and your journaling. You are a beautiful writer and an artist, Betty!!! (And for the record, I would NEVER stand in such a line for anything!!! LOL!!!)
Beautiful and very creative!! Like how you did the Market sign and also added the menu. I always love reading your journaling as you have so many wonderful adventures.
Journaling: On Wednesdays, Joshua works from home and we try to go to lunch with him. Normally, we have to go somewhere in Griffin so we can eat quickly so he can "get back to work". On December 14, 2016, he was on vacation so we were able to venture further afield. We started to go to Cracker Barrel in McDonough, but traffic was completely blocked. So, we turned around and went toward Locust Grove, thinking we could eat at Gabino's Mexican Restaurant. Upon our arrival there, we found that there we no parking places to be had (a new hamburger joint was giving away free burgers and there was a very long line on the sidewalk - guess those folks took all the parking spots). For the record, I would have to be starving to stand in a line like that for a free burger in order to save a couple of bucks! So, Joshua mentioned the French Market in downtown Locust Grove - he and Nichole had been there a couple of years ago. Jerry and I had never been there but we loved it. The food was delicious and there was also a little shopping section! I had a wonderful time helping Joshua select some really great gifts for Nichole.
The Market sign up top was cut from a photo. The picture at the top is a mannequin dressed in a Christmas tree tutu. There were several of these in various costumes around the tavern and store. I used some old Daisy D's pps and that lamppost cutout has been in my stash for years. Used a few old Christmas greenery and flower stickers, too. Then, lastly, I included a menu that tucked into a pocket behind the photos. TFL!
