Such a great story - love the journaling! My husband retired a little over a year ago and I love having him home. Love your cute layout - the blue plaid really makes the blue on the plate pop! So cute!!!
I LOVE this, Doreen!! I'm in awe of your handwriting honestly... I was staring so hard at it I realized I wasn't actually reading your journaling! Only my DH has handwriting that good! Love that your DH is able to be around and do these fun things and that sure does look YUMMY!!!
Money isn't everything - you are so right. Health and happiness is a million times more important and the baked goods are a great bonus - his new creative side is being nurtured! Wonderful layout which says so much.
I love your heartfelt journaling. I'm glad your husband is happier and healthier. My husband also left a job that was physically and emotionally draining. Sometimes those decisions are hard to make but it works out better. Love the photos of his baking. Now how can I get my husband interested in cooking?? Beautiful page.
Journaling: Side Tag - "7.18.17: Banana Walnut Bread (topped w/ banana flavored Greek yogurt) 7.20.17: Lemon Poppy Seed bread." In Circle - "Both baked from scratch by my husband. My husband recently quit his job. He worked for over 20 yrs at a job that was both mentally and physically stressful. He developed carpal tunnel in both arms and, per the doctor, he quit just in time to prevent permanent damage. He now has 2 part-time jobs one of which allow shim to work from home. He is much happier and healthier and that makes me happy...I really love lov having him home more! Plus he can help more around the house and... bake for me, LOL! He did take a big pay cut, but we're doing just fine and have discovered that money isn't everything."
I love this layout in general but also because behind the photos of "baked goods" there is a bigger story; a story of a major change in our lives.
Our lives are ever changing and I love that I am capturing these changes for our family; present and future!
