Sassy Suzi, I use Photoshop Elements. I have an older version (v9), but it still serves me well. I used each image on a layer, and then use clipping masks and gradients to blend the photos.
Digital layout with a different (for me) style. The background image is an action shot of a game that was turned into b&w.
The text reads: You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all that time.
I used cliping masks and gradients to create the blend between the images. The 2 rectangles were clipped to a layer that had a slight drop shadow to "lift" them from the page. The white distressing is from a photoshop brush.
This layout pushed me a little outside my "normal" style and had me using some techniques that I dont normally use. It was a good learning exercise, but i am not sure i would want to do a whole album in this style, or if any other type of pictures would look good this way. Its kind of busy and chaotic, BUT, this game was busy and choatic, so it "fit"
