What a fun page, Pat! LOVE that you took the close-ups of your signs of spring. What a unique page and a great insight into your daily life - memorialized in your fabulously creative way!
You really grasped a whole other perspective that someone like me wouldn't even know about when spring really comes. I live in the desert so we don't really have the seasons...it is usually always just hot lol. I adore each photo that shows what spring is really like. Wonderfully creative! fave
Thank you for the horse lesson I did not know that they shed their winter coats or that the birds use the fur. I am so glad for any sign of spring.. also love the umbrella paper and the banners
What an artistic eye you have my dear. I don't know that I would have looked at that umbrella paper and had the sight to combine it so well with other papers that look like they were made for each other!! I love the way you have colored the edges that give the impression of the grey background is fading into the yellow paper like fog rolling in! Awesome how the glitter on the edges of your banner makes me thing of the sparkling sunshine that spring brings!
Oh my gosh...this is gorgeous. It just screams SPRING!!! The yellow doily with greenery and butterfly is so pretty. Thank you for showing this and reminding us spring is coming!
This is stunning!the paper-perfect. The tags awesome and the photos amazing. What a brilliant way to document the arrival of spring. This is the perfect take on the sketch. This is a truly Pat layout. Love it.
GREAT take on the sketch. I love the choice of pp's. The umbrella background paper is delightfully charming. The pretty yellow doily makes me think of the warmth of the sun and the lovely butterfly definitely says "Spring has sprung".
Ok, so I know it's only February, but the signs are there and obvious for anyone who is looking for them. And I am ALWAYS looking for them.
Spring officially starts for me when my horses begin blowing their winter hair coats. As the days get longer, their brains trigger their hormone systems to start prepping for the warm days ahead, and they start shedding their winter downy under coats. They spend most of their time rolling, leaving huge piles of hair in the pastures for the birds to use in nest building. And when I get ready for a riding lesson, they gift me with mounds of hair in the curry combs and brushes that I use for grooming.
The dandelions and floral weeds arrive shortly after, followed by the swelling buds on the trees.
And it would not be Oklahoma if spring didn't bring along with it an obsession with the radar. Oklahoma always has incredible weather fluctuations, and in fact the 70 and 80 degree temps of the past two days yielded way to a big ice storm this morning, closing schools, libraries, and government offices.
Yep. Spring is definitely on the way, but winter is a little reluctant to relax her grip just yet.

For the Monthly Sketch Challenge, Sketch #4 Also for the 5 ingredients - more than 1 photo, triangles, hearts, butterflies, and an embellishment cluster (butterfly, doiley, leaves, and hearts at the top). Also Week 8 of my 2018 Project 52 album.
I've had a nicely productive month so far. Not too much, but something every week, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Papers are all from Paper Loft's Morning Rain collection - which is OLD old OLD old old. The stripe is something different ... but I'm not sure what. There wasn't an ID strip, so I don't know the manufacturer. It had glitter on the back side, but the stripes worked for what I needed here, so the glittery flourish paper is just a pretty memory now. Well, except for the nice size pieces in my leftovers box.
