You are so darn creative! Love the "slices" and those fantastic vintage photos. I love the general gray, black, creamy white tones highlighted by the bursts of not-too-bright colors used with the awesome stencils. Very clever with the numbers to make the corner border!
I usually play it safe and order smaller stencils (6x6, minis etc) but when I spotted this large one on the Internet I took the plunge and bought it. I was drawn to the gorgeous patterns and gave it a try using my favourite Distress Oxide inks. That's when I had the idea for this design and title.
When I cut out the slice using my craft knife, my craft mat was peaking through. I liked the effect of the grid pattern so much that I copied it onto a piece of vellum using a white Posca pen. I then put the vellum on light grey card stock and stuck everything to the back of the layout. I am pleased with the look and it gave me somewhere to add a bit of journaling too.
