This is so sad! Wish his mom would be more responsive. :( The papers against the kraft look really amazing...maybe you can frame and hang this in Alexis' room?
Beautiful page, love the colour blocking of course and those gorgeous pics, the are so alike, your story brought tears to my eyes but only so much you can do unfortunately, I'm sure they will catch up and be very close as they get older.
What cuties they are! I love this.Poor little Alexis. It is sad that his adoptive mom does not see it important enough that they have a relationship with each other.
this must be so heartbreaking for you Heather, to see your darling little Lexis so sad, over something that could be so easily resolved.Hopefully Nathan will be able to make his own phone calls soon...and not have to wait for his miserable mum to ring. Beautiful LO!
awwww.... :( Poor kiddo. What a bummer that the other adoptive mom isn't receptive to allowing them to continue having a relationship. Love that you documented this. What a beautiful layout!
A gorgeous layout! Sometimes life hurts so bad and for these children it has to be painful. I trust they can stay in touch enough now to have a good relationship when they are adults and make the decisions themselves.
I don't think I knew she had a bio bro. umm...has the mom given you a reason? they look close to the same age, and with the same background....why were the split up?
Oh, Heather, how sad... I can never understand some people; very selfish and thoughtless of her. Hope she sees the light soon. What a darling layout this is.
Aww..this is heartbreaking and so touching too. I hope that lady comes around eventually realizing how these kids are nothing but innocent and should be able to share their love with each other.
I really hope she calls back soon. My heart breaks for Lexie!!!! I think it is great that you scrapped this. Your pages is wonderful. I love the colors! I like how you did the title.
Journaling: Lexis loves her biological brother so much! It really hurts my heart to see how sad she gets when his adoptive Mom doesn't return my phone calls requesting a visit. She misses him terribly + asks about him often. Alexis + Nathan 2006
I was inspired by a PageMaps sketch that was done for the Ally Scraps blog. http://allyscrapsblog.blogspot.com/ It took a little bit of a turn when my trimmer decided to break and eat the top of my kraft paper. So the scallop got moved from the side to the top to cover the mess!
Other supplies: EK Success Tiny Scallop Punch, Basic Grey Blush Card Kit (Rub on + Chipboard), Brown Kraft paint, and Unknown Button.
