“In today’s layout I decided to use woodgrain as a complement to a pastel color palette. I used the Color Me Happy collection, beautiful light blue and yellow patterned papers with a dark woodgrain to create a background for my photos. I also cut the decorative edges using a deep edge punch and a few woodgrain style elements from the Color Me Happy – Bits & Pieces patterned paper, like an alarm clock and part of a title or small “hi there” element. Another piece with a woodgrain pattern is one of the Color Me Happy – Giant Rhinestones motifs and fine woodgrain stamping I’ve done using Giant Roller Doodle stamp and mustard color ink at the edges of my layout. I had so much fun using woodgrain on my page and surely I’ll use this motif often!”
