The kids are 25 and 30 but traditions mean a lot to me. We have always cut our tree down - except last year when the tree farm was closed:( With one out of state and getting here the 22nd, it is getting tougher and tougher to do this. We decided that Dh and I would get a tree but wait for the kids to decorate it. Dh decided we could not do it alone. So instead wandered around our 3 acres and found a charlie brown sort of tree. Once the 4 of them were home, we herded them and the dog into the car and drove around the block pretending to go to a new tree farm. The boys even stuffed their pockets with beer for the long dreaded hike and selection process. Dh pulled up just past our house. A two minute hike and we had our tree. Yet another year that the tradition lives!
