We connect to our dining room but through an open doorway, a window like this would be lovely! when I get my new house, we have an open plan kitchen/family room planned.

I have a "window" like this too, I love it, makes it easy to keep an eye out... Also makes you feel less cut off from guests!

We have the kitchen to family room connection as well. But ours is thru a penninsula countertop. I love your wooden framed window. That hanging cat decoration is cute. I agree that it is great for family togetherness.

I like the openness too. I grew up in a home where the family room and kitchen blended together. It was nice because we were able to entertain in both rooms at the same time talk openly between both rooms.

I love the passthrough. You dnt see them very often, funny , My mom's home has one and so does mine...yours make 3 tha I kno of. Nice pic.

November 15 - Part 2 - My kitchen from the family room

This is one of my favorite features of our home. This window looks from the family room (where I am standing) up into my kitchen (family room is down two steps "sunken". I love being able to see one room from the other and keep an eye on what's going on :)
