I SEE…
You called me the other day and mentioned that you thought it was time to try a new look. You are turning 45 soon and after 10 years of the same look you wanted a more feminine change. These pictures immediately came to mind. I am so proud when I look at them and see you, my mom. You had said that you looked like an old woman in them and I guess I disagree. I see a woman who has never cared what anyone else thought of her tomboy looks except for her husband. I see a woman whose long dirty blonde hair tells a story. I see a woman who has frowned and smiled a lot but still has a twinkle in her eyes. I see a woman who doesn’t need makeup or a trendy hairstyle to look beautiful. Some of the things you dislike the most about your appearance, I am grateful to have. They are what makes me, me. I would never try to stop you from making a personal change, and at times I have been the encourager, but in all honesty I like you just the way you are and to me you’re beautiful.
