I made this treasure chest for my great nephew for his 6th b-day. He was into pirates this year. Every pirate needs a treasure chest for his treasure.
I bought this paper mache treasure chest at Hobby Lobby when it was on sale. I covered it with brown paper with a mixture of glue and water. I painted the straps black and then covered the whole thing with modge podge to seal it.
