I think it's wonderful! I'm working on heritage wedding layouts for my mom's family right now and can appreciate your comment about it taking so long. My mom still has her "wedding memories" book, so I'm familiar with the colors and styles of that era (late 40s? early 50s?). I'd say your choice of flowers and colors, along with the way you laid everything out, captures that era perfectly!

Mom & Dads wedding page

My MIL has always liked the blue and white theme and at her wedding the bridgesmaid dresses were a periwinkle blue, I found this paper with what looked like a boquet of flowers with ribbon and used the "Love is Patient" overlay over a photo from their wedding and her wedding dress portrait on top. On the otherside I chose a wedding quote from a pre-printed page of phrases (from what company I can't remember right now), and tore blue paper around the quote and added a bow from the boquet paper, I added her actual invitation and mass book and a couple of honeymoon photos outlining the lower left hand corner of the invite with the same blue paper as the potrait and quote. Once again from my fledgling album I probably could have done better but I take too long it would never have gotten done!
