After doing several layouts for Versailles I realized that I wasn't very happy that I didn't do some kind of introductory page to explain a little more about Louis XIV and his home. So I remembered that I had this picture from a calendar and I decided to use it to make the big TA-DA! I used the Cricut Storybook cart for the flourish as well as the letters. I did the letters with the shadow effect in two different kinds of gold cardstock. For the V I cut it out a little larger than the other letters (since this cart doesn't have an upper and lower case font - I wanted it to stand out as a capital) and I used the shadow feature as well as the accent feature. I used Crystal Laquer in the dots of the accent of the V. I'm so pleased with how it all came out!!
