There are just not enough words to describe how wonderful Lauren Bavin's "Treat It" Overlay Stacks are! They made this wonderful photo (that my DD1 took of a cockatoo just as he was flying away from our verandah) into something extraordinary! Here I've stacked quite a number of overlays from her Treat It Dirty kit over my photo, using different layer styles and transparency levels. I extracted the cockatoo and pulled that layer up to nearly the top so it would stand out better. I backed the entire layout with one of the wonderful backgrounds from Lauren's My Mother's Memories page kit, then clipped another background to one of the Treat It Dirty overlays and placed it near the top layer so some of its detail would show through. I added a quote that this layout made me rememberfrom James Langston Hughes, "Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly." I finished off the layout with the dark edge from the Treat It Antique stacks, reducing the opacity somewhat for just a bit of a dark edge. These kits are all from Digital Scrapbook Place.
