Such a moving tribute. Very touching journaling. The photo is so striking. The look in your mother's face and your father behind her. Wow. Breathtaking. I love how you finished the photo with scratchy edges and the word Love and the scrolls. Did you do that in Photoshop, or with an overlay or rubons? Really, really wonderful layout.

I am sitting here wiping the tears from my eyes. Your journaling has really touched me. A dear friend of mine died of ALS about a year and a half ago and I spent almost 2 years helping to take care of her. You are so right - ALS is a horrible horrible disease. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and especially your dad. What a sweet tender moment you captured here, even the picture has reduced me to tears again. Bless you.
You have moved me to tears with these LO's, pages for our dear departed loved ones are always the hardest but you have done your dear mum a great justice, these LO's are beautiful and you have inspired me to do my Nannas which I have been hesitating over for a long time, on a technical note you have a great eye for colour and balance, your handwriting is perfect and your embellishments are stunning, TFS and bless you!
These pages are about my mother, who passed away from ALS last September. It shows how, although she may be gone physically, she lives on in the hearts and minds of her grandchildren and even her beloved pets. I edited the picture in photoshop using Rhonna Farrer's frames, brushes off the internet and fontwork. Flourish handcut from BG papers, on flap hinged with a hardware store hinge. On the back of the flap has journalling which reads: This is one of the last pictures of my mother, looking somewhat healthy. It was taken in early August 2005- two months prior to her death. It is one of my favorite photos of my parents, because it so clearly shows the devotion between the two of them. If you look deeper, however, you will see strength, courage and heroism as well. Yes, ALS is a horrific disease, which robs so many of so much, but it also brings forth a deep down strength and undying love. Journalling on page top is part of the saying " All the love you created is still there, all the memories are still there. YOU LIVE ON - in the hearts of everyone you have touched while you were here. Death ends a life, not a relationship. Morrie Shwartz - Tuesday's with Morrie"
