This is so delicate! What I really love is how you did the ribbon photo corners! That was really clever!! I agree.. would love to see MORE of that beautiful ribbon, but this page is very beautiful, and well-planned!! Great job, REsa!
Yes, ditto what danielle said. I love the placement of the brads as well. I think that if you had inked (I don't remember if your into that...I think I've seen you use it) the papers you didn't sand there would be even *more* depth, but I really like the layering you did and the colors and the outlining behind the blooms is interesting. One other thing, I think I'd like to see more of that ribbon on the page. Lovely page, Resa.
Love the hand stitching - noticed it right away! The sanding adds a lot! I love your paper layering and the pic of dh with the butterflies! Title is FAB!
Teresa, I love this page!! Love the hand stitching, beautiful title, pp, and flowers. All the detail here is amazing! This is going into my favorites. You did a fabulous job!!
This has gone straight into my faves! I love how you have created so much interest on this page. My eyes are immediately drawn to the double matted pic, but then eagerly scan the rest of the lo. The colours are beautiful. Your stitching looks really wonderful on this and I love the tag! I really like how you have matted the word 'butterfly', especially the way you cut around the 'y'.
These are some more pictures from my honeymoon almost 3 years ago. I did a lot of work to this page to try and give it some "depth". A few things I did was to sand the edges and some insides of the papers, and hand stitching on the page and tag with embroidery thread. The tag I made using a "Spring" Color Bok kit plus some ribbon from Michael's. I made the photo corners out of the same ribbon - the flowers along the left border are silk from the dollar store. The title "butterfly" is made from unfinished chipboard letters (I forget the brand) that I painted, mod-podged and glittered. Thinking about it now I had intended to sand the edges of the photos too, and I may still do that.
And yes, my DH actually got a butterfly to land / crawl onto his finger. We finally got a pic of me with a butterfly on my finger, too, but I think mine was nearly dead! Regardless, I didn't choose to print that pic.
TFL, it feels good to have something completed again!
