I haven't made an open back card but have wanted to. I have also thought about putting a clear acetate or transparency sheet behind the image. Love that plaid paper for this. Nicely done.
I love the shape of this card. I'd love to see a side view. I love the plaid paper and love the variety in your trees paper. The sentiment is such a beautiful font and fits perfectly with the rest of the card. Love the jeweled stars on each tree. I am loving all your new card shapes! You are so adventurous!
When I saw this card (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/23784704262417388/) on Pinterest, it made me think of sketch #2 in the November Card Sketch Challenge. Since I had some tree die cuts that I had been hoping to find a project for, I decided to create my version of this open background card as part of the favorites category in the November Inspirational Card Challenge. I used plaid paper from MAMBI. The trees are die cuts from Recollections. I die cut the sentiment using a Penny Black Merry Christmas die. I added touches of clear Wink of Stella and star jewels for a bit of sparkle and shine. -November Card Sketch Challenge - sketch #2 -November Inspirational Card Challenge - Favorites
