Journaling: There are some perks when you work right next door to NASA. This is the Shuttle Discovery loaded on the crawler headed for pad 39 in prep for a July 1, 2006 launch. I took these photos, along with my office buddies, Firiday afternoon, May 19. This is the closest you can get without being a shuttle worker. Needless to say, it was AWESOME to stand at the base of over one million tons of technology traveling at a whopping 1 mph on its 8+ hour trip from the VAB hangar to the launch pad. Greg" My husband sent me the photos with the email and I just had to save his memories on a scrapbook page.
