Can the big shot plus take extended plates for this die?

Yes. I have that die but haven't used it yet. (I have the extended platform, too, and not sure if that is required for this one--maybe). The problem I have had is getting paper long enough to accommodate the entire length of the die.

Yes, i think definitely yes. By all means the big shot plus adaptor and plates are even wider than the original big shot. All the specifications are within range for this die to be used with it.
