Hi there, I experimented with shims until I came up with a depth that would cut them though. I have the Mixed Media dies. Some cut and some do not. I returned one set as it didn't cut. The other I didn't do anything about. I try and cut with scissors what is still attached to the paper, because I really liked the design. The company ought to try the dies before sending them out, so they know whether they work or not. You might try another shim to see if that helps the die to cut through the paper, and run it through your machine more than once. You also have the option of returning the dies. Hope this helps.
