I store my 6 x 6 pads in there just fine. I fit two to a slot there is 1/2 inch from the paper pad to the end of the slot but with that finger groove you can easily remove the paper pads. With the pad recessed a bit you avoid the cluttered look. It seems very streamlined. I have six of them on some very low shelves and still I can remove the pads when I need them. It was too hard getting the 6x6 paper pads out. I ended up making cardboard spacers and use them to to store my versa Claire ink pads. Yes, The 6x6 Paper storage cube from Scrapbook.com measures 7 inches deep and 6 3/4 wide(inside). I have mine with the slots facing up and larger longer pads in the back and smaller pads in the front. I love the look and the ease to view the pads. These 6x6 Paper Storage's will not fit side by side or on top of each other in the Kallax cube cubby. However, the 4 Drawer Storage will fit 2 stacked on top of each other in the Kallax cube cubby.
