Set up a Winter Village for Christmas with this Paper Projects Set from Die Cuts with a View. The package includes 11 die cut cardstock papers, chipboard, lights and instructions, which will create 6 lighted houses.
The Winter Village turned out well. It took me at least an hour per house to assemble, but it may have gone faster if I had used the hot glue suggested. Instead I used "red tape" for the flaps and bookbinder glue in a pinpoint applicator for the window frames plus a little on the deer which were a bit wobbly otherwise. I also added vellum inside each window for a warmer glow.
The pieces were easy to separate from the surrounding card, each house was well-labeled, and there were no missing sheets. The instructional drawings were clear.
The drawback for me was the thickness of the card. It could have been thicker for the sides and roofs because they currently have a little bow to them. On the other hand, too much thickness would have made assembly more difficult. So I am happy with the kit. And my family is already planning where to display it for the holiday season.
I loved putting these houses together. They look fabulous. Only disappointment was that the packages states "includes lights", but this was not true. I had some tea lights that work just fine.

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW LARGE THE HOUSES ARE IN THIS SET. hAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE LARGER THAN THE USUAL SMALL SIZE

House 4, third from the left in the photo, is about 10 1/4" tall to the top of the chimney and 2 7/8" wide at the base.
