I originally bought this trimmer because it looked cute. I literally wanted something better looking than my standard old orange guillotine. After setting it up and admiring its beauty. I started using it and fell in love. I wish it had a few things like inch measurements on both ends and a guide that actually goes past the blade to make smaller cuts more feasible, but I really enjoy using this trimmer. So much so that I recently bought another and replacement blades to ensure I could continue using it for the foreseeable future.
I was disappointed that this product was underpar for the price. The light bar came with an on and off button that did not work. Now I have to run around and figure out how to get compensated for this product or get a new light bar. If I had just waited and bought it at Michaels I could have returned it. For the price point I was really disappointed that there was a part that did not work.
Love this trimmer. It is easy to use and has visible markings.
It is a solid feeling cutter. Three things seem awkward. The first being the clear guard can’t be lifted or moved for cutting small pieces. The other is that the cutting wheel doesn’t swing out. I have had this on other rotary cutters and it is handy to have. Also, the blade doesn’t "glide" across the paper. It needs a good push. The resulting cut is crisp on the cutter side edge of paper but the outer piece's edge is folded/curled down. Very disappointed in that. Is this a product defect? How are you suppose to use that cut piece of paper? It automatically becomes waste. If you are cutting strips off end of your paper, one edge will be folded/curled downward.
The cutter markings are good. I like using it folded in half. I like the angle guide but do not like the scoring feature. Very awkward and guide doesn’t seem to stay securely in place when scoring. Light is a nice plus. I didn’t mind the price for a quality cutter. But, I expected more.
I love the look of the trimmer, the tools on board. The new tool that determines the size of the cut is great for anything over 2”. Under 2” makes it difficult to use. I thought it would cut chip board.......it does not. The cutting piece does not slide easily through any paper.
I like my We R Memory Keepers paper trimmer that has scoring, punching, and etc all in one.

Hello, how many sheets can this guillotine cut? I need to cut 3 sheets of 75 grams.

This is not a guillotine cutter but rather a rotary cutter. We wouldn't recommend multiple thick sheets of paper at one time.

Does it have scoring grooves built in, or do you have to use the ruler to score each line?

There are scoring grooves in the ruler part but not on the flat surface and therefore the ruler must be used. Hope this helps!

Can it be used while folded or do you HAVE to unfold/open it to use the trimmer?

I am using mine folded in half at times. The light attaches and does not get in the way when folded up. Feature comes in handy

As we do not have this in stock yet, it has not been tested in this manner. It does appear that it needs to be opened in order to put it together and used, however. Hope this helps!
