This is an excellent glass media mat. The white bounces light, making it easy for me to see the elements of my projects. I have a popular glass media mat made by another company, but it is difficult for me to see my items because of the black color. The white color Of the We R Memory Keepers mat is a game changer. The measuring lines are convenient and the solid white mixing area makes a nice space for mixing paints or other mediums. The mat base rests on nine small, clear stabilizers to keep the mat from slipping. This is definitely a keeper.
Nice, well made....only wish they had one for left handers. I can turn is the opposite way, but then all of the writing is upside down.
I love that this is white and measurements, embellies, and inks can be clearly seen. It was a toss-up between this and another one. The other brand media mat I saw, had a few quality control complaints, so it gave me pause to look into the We R ones. I have a couple of the smaller ones and and was thrilled they had a large media mat as well! WeR I have found to be always a quality product and this did not disappoint. There is a nice large area on the right to mix inks/paints etc. This also has American and Metric measurements which I frequently find to be very convenient to have handy. No negatives that I can see!
This was packaged very well; I half expected it to be broken when it arrived. It’s everything I wanted in a mixed media mat. Great item!
Love this glass mat!!! It's a great surface to work on and easily wipes clean. I love mixing paint right on the surface and it's great for the oxide ink projects. It's a LARGE glass mat, lots of room to work on, and has clearly marked grids. The corner clips used for shipping can be tossed or left on as you choose. Fast shipping and packaged well. Very pleased with this purchase.
Where has this wonderful glass mat been!?! What a perfect mat for my table. It has plenty of work space, area for trying color blends; AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - IT CLEANS UP SO EASILY.

This is a large white glass mat for mixed media. I LOVE it. I prefer it over the black Tim Holtz mat mostly because I found the black mat just didn't work for me.
It's a little big for my desk, but being a paper artist, and mixed media artist, it helps keep my desk top clean!
I love using this surface, so easy to clean and a great size. When it arrived I thought it had a green protection film over the glass. I could not remove it. So just know the surface is green, not white. I like that I can mix colors right on the glass but still need to check them on white paper to get a true peek at what I mixed. For that I am greatly disappointed. I don't like working on a black surface so I will be keeping it.
I love this mat. It’s heavy so it doesn’t move around. The corners covers were a little annoying because they kept coming off so I used a piece of double sided tape to hold them on and now they’re fine so no big problem. It’s plenty big enough. I’ve gotten all kinds of media on it including modeling paste and everything has come off easily. It’s all a pleasure to work on.

the blueish green corner pieces dont stay put, should i glue them in place?

The corners are more for protection during transit, personally I wouldnt glue them. I have mine stored away for future move, Mine sits out on my desk and I use it every day. Best thing I ever bought.

How are you able to cut on this without scratching the glass - do you have to use a special tool?

Tempered glass can help prevent this but you still may get scratches since it is still glass. We haven't heard of this happening but it's possible. Hope this helps!

I have the Tim Holtz black media mat and mine has many scratches also. I use a Cricut craft knife and have only used it to cut my Cardstock, but hate that it now has these tiny ridges everywhere. It doesn’t really effect the performance of the mat, its just a bit of an annoyance. I’m thinking of purchasing this white one because of the benefit of a bright white background to aid in finding measurements easier and to use as a backing to photograph my cards for social media.

Does this WRMK Mixed Media Mat have some sort of protective sleeve for it like the Tonic Studios/Tim Holtz one does?

The WRMK glass mat does not have a protective sleeve. It is much larger than the Tonic Studios/Tim Holtz mat. I actually own both and much prefer the WRMK mat. I bought the WRMK mat after my Tonic/Holtz mat scratched after first time using. I have had the smaller WRMK mat for years and can only assume the larger WRMK mat will hold up just as well. I totally recommend the WRMK over the Tonic/Holtz product.
